An application must be made for every child requiring a nursery or school place whether that place is in an English or Welsh-medium setting.

Important facts you should know before applying for a school place

 

Annual admissions round

This is where you make an application for the normal year of entry into a school i.e. Nursery, Reception or Year 7, and is known as the normal admissions round/phase transfer.

There is a deadline for making your application and if you miss this deadline, or change your preference after the closing date, you will be much less likely to gain a place at the school of your choice.
