The team are passionate about making a positive difference to young people’s lives by providing excellent learning programmes and opportunities. Through innovative, sector leading educational tools and exciting delivery programmes, they provide opportunities for all young people of the city and a clear pathway to progression.
Jobs Growth Wales+ programme (JGW+) is a great way to boost your confidence and get a taste of work you might be interested in. You’ll also have access to free training, work placements and paid jobs with employers in your area.
The programme is led by Welsh Government, supported by the European Social Fund, and aims to provide young people with the skills needed to get a job or progress to further learning or apprenticeships.
It gives you the opportunity to have a taste of a job you might be interested in before you commit to a course or apprenticeship as well as getting paid while you learn.
Over the last year, 80% of the students who have left the academy progressed positively into further education or employment – the majority of which left school and joined us with no formal qualifications.
