Publication of Statutory Notice
Newport City Council’s Cabinet Member for Education and Early Years has considered all views expressed and responses received during the formal consultation process and has decided to proceed with the proposal to statutory notice stage.
Statutory Notice Period 19 February 2024 – 17 March 2024
The statutory notice period allows people to express their views in support of or objection to the proposal.

What happens next?
Following the end of the consultation period, a consultation report will be prepared which summarises the consultation and engagement process, the comments received and the council's response to these comments.
If no objections are received following the publication of the statutory proposal, the Cabinet Member for Education and Early Years will make the final decision as to whether to proceed.
If any objections are received and not subsequently withdrawn during this notice period, the Council’s Cabinet will determine the final decision.
