City Centre Placemaking Programme

Through Welsh Government's Transforming Towns programme, Newport City Council has secured funding to deliver a programme of Placemaking projects to enhance the City Centre.

Funding is available for projects to revitalise vacant commercial space, create upper floor residential accommodation, and otherwise stimulate further private investment into the City Centre.

The target area for this grant funding is in and around the City Centre High Street and Northern Gateway area and will run as a three-year programme across 2022-2025.
