Public Notice: Ringland Play Area and MUGA

NOTICE OF DISPOSAL OF PUBLIC OPEN SPACE LAND AT RINGLAND

In accordance with the provisions of regulation 5 of the Playing Fields (Community Involvement in Disposal Decisions) (Wales) Regulations 2015 notice is given that Newport City Council (the “Council”) intends to dispose of three parcels of open space (as described below in the Schedule) situated adjacent to Ringland Health Centre, Ringland, Newport, by way of a transfer. The disposal will allow the development of a new health facility.

The details of the proposed disposal including the plan showing the approximate location of the affected land may be obtained by contacting the Council by email at [email protected]

Members of the public who wish to comment or object to the proposed disposal of the land should send their comments or objection in writing either to the email address stated above or to the Head of Law and Regulation, Civic Centre, Newport NP20 4UR (reference: Conveyancing Team) by 5 pm on 26 November 2021.

SCHEDULE

Parcel 1 – Triangular parcel of landscaped area to the north of the front of the existing Health Centre comprising of a grassed embankment extending to approximately 0.07 acres 

Parcel 2 – Grassed area located to the East of the existing Health Centre, formerly the site of a club which has since been demolished extending to approximately 0.57 acres. 

Parcel 3 – Multi Use Games Area located to the south of the existing Health Centre extending to approximately 0.43 acres (to be replaced).
