You can seek independent advice and information from Citizen’s Advice Bureau.  You may also find helpful information from Children in Wales who have produced useful guidance for family and friends carers.

Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations (GAVO) also have a Newport Parents’ Participation Officer who can advise of local support groups and services which may benefit family and friends carers, please contact GAVO directly on 01633 241578.

Young people may also contact the National Youth Advocacy Service (NYAS) for independent support via their website https://youngpeople.nyas.net/ alternatively you can contact them on 0808 808 1001.
