Watch the Commonwealth Baton Relay

Join us at Newport Stadium on 3 July to welcome The Queen’s Commonwealth Baton Relay to our city.
The baton is making its way to Birmingham, host city of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and will have travelled 90,000 miles around the 72 nations and territories of the Commonwealth before finishing its journey later in July.
On Sunday 3 July, the baton will arrive at Newport Stadium (Newport International Sports Village) and will be carried around the track by local scouts and guides. Members of the public are invited to watch the baton relay which will begin at 9.30am.
The scouts and guides will also have to opportunity to take part in a range of sporting activities, plus develop their volunteering and event management experience.
