A-level and other qualification results

Posted on Thursday 18th August 2022
Newport students will be finding out the results of their A-levels and other qualifications today.

Councillor Deb Davies, Newport City Council’s cabinet’s member for education, has congratulated all those who are celebrating their A-level and other qualification successes today.

“A huge well done to them all on their fantastic achievements and a great reflection of their hard work during their time in school or college.

“But I would also like to reassure those who may not have got the grades or qualifications they were hoping for that it’s not the end of the world.

“While you may be feeling disappointed, you can get advice and assistance from your schools, colleges and organisations such as Careers Wales. There are many opportunities waiting for you even if it means taking a different path to the one you planned.

“A big thank you too to all the education staff, governors, parents and carers who have supported these young people. It has been a challenging couple of years for everyone and you have done an amazing job.

“My best wishes to all those who are now moving on to the next stage of their lives whether it is in further or higher education, training or starting a career.”
