Play area closed

Duffryn play area has had to be closed to the public because of anti social behaviour which saw dog mess smeared on the ground and play equipment.
Newport City Council staff who had to deal with this incident say they haven’t come across such atrocious behaviour before and have informed police.
A spokesperson for Newport City Council said: “To do this to a children’s play area is totally unacceptable.
“The whole play area is contaminated so has had to be closed before a deep clean can take place.
“If anyone has information as to who has committed this anti-social act please inform Gwent Police on 101.”
