Newport Household Waste Recycling Centre is located in Maesglas, at the entrance of the landfill site off the SDR (A48) roundabout.

The site can be very busy on weekends - pre-sort your waste to help prevent long queues
The site is closed on Bank Holidays apart from August Bank Holiday and Good Friday when it is open 7.30am - 4.30pm
Use of the site is free for Newport residents who can also recycle at one of Newport’s recycling bring banks.

Residents with unsorted waste or using a trailer may be asked to provide proof of residency and show the contents of the bags to ensure that recyclable material is not sent to landfill.
Newport residents may leave a maximum of four bin bags of unsorted household waste if the materials really cannot be recycled.
The landfill site is for commercial customers and residents using large vehicles, trailers or vans.
