High tides in Newport – update re Thursday 12 March

Natural Resources Wales has confirmed that due to the expected high tide on Thursday 12 March, the Caerleon Road flood barrier will be in place.
Road closures will therefore be in place between 7.45 and 10am along Caerleon Road, near the St Julian Inn to the junction with New Road/High Street. Traffic will be controlled at the Beaufort Road junction.
General advice is to avoid the area if at all possible.
