Asbestos will need to be removed where dust release is likely, where repairing or protecting the asbestos is not practical or where the material is likely to be disturbed during routine maintenance work.
Work on asbestos insulation and lagging should only be done by a contractor licensed by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

From 5 September 2016 licensed asbestos contractors and registered carriers can dispose of asbestos material at the commercial waste disposal site in Newport.
