A full day of golfing and a slap up meal followed by entertainment is all part of a special event being organised to help the Mayor of Newport Councillor Malcolm Linton raise fund for his nominated charities.

The special charity golf day is taking place on Wednesday, 17 April at the Celtic Manor Resort.

The event will raise funds for the Mayor’s charities the Motor Neurone Disease Association and Epilepsy Action Cymru.

The sponsor for the event is Engie who is supporting the homelessness charity Llamau which helps young people aged 16 – 21 who can’t live with their families or on their own to find suitable accommodation.

The charity golf day begins with a breakfast reception followed by a shotgun start at 11am.

The cost of entering a four ball team is £360 which includes playing golf, an evening meal and entertainment. Partners can also join in the evening event and take part by going to the meal and enjoying the entertainment for a ticket price of £35.

Places are subject to availability. Anyone interested in taking part can email [email protected] for more details.
