Recycling banks
There are many recycling bank locations across Newport.
- they are for small amounts of recycling only
- if the containers are full please notify us and take your items home
- do not leave items on the ground. If bags are left, they will be investigated. You might be issued with a fixed penalty notice for fly-tipping

Items collected can be recycled in your weekly home collection.
You can also:
- ask for extra boxes and bags
- book a visit to the household waste recycling centre (HWRC)
- request collection of bigger household items (for a small fee)

Carrier bag and polythene recycling
Most plastic polythene packaging can be recycled at carrier bag collection points at bigger supermarkets. The on-pack recycling label (OPRL) tells you which plastics can be taken.
