Young parents should visit the Family Information Service for advice on childcare, parenting programmes and more.

Newport Youth Council (NYC)

Newport Youth Council is open to all young people aged 11-25 and living in Newport and lets you have a voice in issues that affect you.

Newport Youth Information Service

Newport’s Infoshop is open to all young people, offering information and advice.

Qualified youth workers are on hand to provide information, support and guidance to young people aged 11 – 25, in a friendly and informal setting.

Help can be given with application forms, looking for work, CV’s and school/college work.

A confidential room is also available if you would like to talk to someone in private.

Opening hours

The Infoshop is open Monday to Friday, 12pm - 4.30pm and Saturday, 11am – 4pm.
