Young Newport and One Newport
One Newport Local Service Board has recently undertaken a review of its priorities and partnership arrangements. One Newport Local Service Board includes all youth support services like education, social services, health, careers, and the youth service as well as Gwent police, Newport City Homes and key voluntary organisations. We all work together to make sure that all citizens including children and young people have the services you need. In order to ensure that we identify the needs of you as citizens in Newport a Unified Needs Assessment (UNA) is undertaken and updated on a regular basis as information becomes available.
Information and data for the UNA is collected from a wide range of sources including consultation with citizens. It enables priorities to be identified to inform the Single Integrated Plan (SIP). The SIP is a plan that has been written to say how the One Newport partnership is going to meet the needs of people in Newport. The SIP replaces the following plans and strategies that were previously in place:
• Community Strategy
• Health, Social Care and Wellbeing Strategy
• Children and Young Peoples Plan
• Community Safety Plan
• Prosperous Newport Plan
More information about One Newport and the Single Integrated Plan is available on the One Newport Local Service Board website (opens new website).
