Newport Market offers the finest fresh produce, with award winning butchers and Newport city centre’s only fishmongers happy to advise and prepare fish the way you want it.

The market is the perfect place to visit for a catch up and a coffee with friends in one of the cafés serving cappuccinos, lattes and espressos and freshly cooked food.

Newport Market – a ‘super’ market since 1864!

You’ll find freshly prepared sandwiches for lunch and home made pies and cakes as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.

The market gallery

The upstairs gallery area has a great range of events including a regular table top sale held on the last Saturday of the month.

Buyers can come along and grab a bargain, and entry is absolutely free.

Directions

Buses now stop directly outside the Market’s High Street and Upper Dock Street entrances.

If you are travelling by car, take advantage of two hours free parking at the Park Square and Cambrian multi-storey car parks, or pay just 10p for two hours in any of our pay and display car parks.
