Queensbury Real Estate has been appointed by Newport City Council to develop a new retail and leisure scheme - Friars Walk.

Newport is proud of its status as a Fairtrade City, with shops and cafes offering at least two fairly traded products.

Visit the Ffwrwm Arts and Craft Centre in High Street, Caerleon, which is open all year and has a selection of smaller shops for gifts.

Caerleon also has a good selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants and its own Tourist Information Centre.


Newport Shopmobility (opens new website) is extremely popular with visitors and advance booking is advisable.

The scheme is based at 193 Upper Dock Street and Kingsway Shopping Centre and operates between 9.15am - 5.00pm.
