Senior Cycling Coach

SCP 28 (20 Hours Part Time)

£23,708 (Pro Rata)

We are looking for suitably qualified Senior Cycling Coach as part of the established Newport City Council Cycling Programme, based at the Wales National Velodrome.

You will assist the Aquatic Development Officer and Velodrome Management Team with the implementation of the City of Newport Track Cycling Programme.

You will deliver & evaluate coaching sessions as part of the city council’s cycling programme, to include indoor and outdoor coaching as required in line British Cycling Coaching standards.

You will also be required to mentor and provide guidance/support to cycling coaches, provide advice and assistance with regards to all cycling related matters to the operational team based at the Velodrome.

You will hold as minimum a British Cycling Level 2 in both Coaching Cycling and Track Cycling Award. Applicants must have practical knowledge of the cycling pathway within Newport City Council as well as British Cycling guidelines and standards.

You must also show evidence of working using your own initiative and experience dealing with customers, as well as knowledge & understanding of Child Protection policies within a cycling environment.
