Streetscene Inspector

£17,161 - £21,519

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced person to undertake highway and street inspection duties for the Streetscene Service.

Reporting to the Area Senior Technical Officer, your primary role would be to undertake the authority's statutory highway and streetscene inspection duties for the integrated Streetscene service.

You will be expected to arrange and supervise maintenance works and liaise with contractors and statutory undertakers working within the highway.

Knowledge of highway construction & maintenance methods is essential.

A broad understanding of the Traffic Management Act, Highways Act and the New Roads and Street works Act is desirable.

GSCE in English and Mathematics or equivalent is required (or be able to demonstrate that you have sufficient numeracy and communication skills from working in a similar highway maintenance environment).

Council posts and associated pay are subject to the outcome of an on-going Pay and Grading Review.
