Home Delivery Service

Newport's library home delivery service provides books to anyone unable to visit a local library on a temporary or permanent basis.

Newport residents who cannot visit the library because of age, illness or disability and who have no-one to visit a library on their behalf may be eligible for the home delivery service.

Items delivered to your home each month free of charge!

Home delivery service members can borrow up to 20 items and the service is free of charge.

We can supply any title from Newport Libraries including spoken word or large print titles.

Your books will be chosen by trained library staff using an individual reader profile so that you will receive books you will want to read.

A volunteer will bring your books and spoken word items right to your doorstep once a month, and collect the books you’ve already read.

To apply for the library home delivery service or if you would be interested in volunteering to deliver books, please email central.library@newport.gov.uk or contact Newport City Council.
