Family fun and cost-of-living advice sessions
Posted on Wednesday 30th November 2022
Money matters sessions are being held in four community centres next week following a fantastic, free, festive show for all the family.
Staff from the council and other organisations will be able to provide advice on a range of cost-of-living support at drop-in sessions in Bettws, Ringland, Maesglas and Pill.
These will be following by a production of A Night Before Christmas performed by Noson Allen (Night Out).
And there will be mince pies!
Councillor Debbie Harvey, Newport City Council’s cabinet member for community wellbeing, said: “Following the success of a cost-of-living support event held in the city centre last month, a number of smaller ‘roadshows’ are taking place in local communities.
“The money matters sessions are the latest in a serious of events being held to help residents who may be finding it hard to make ends meet at the moment.
“And these will be followed by a fun community show courtesy of Noson Allan who will bring some festive cheer by performing their production of A Night before Christmas. A big thank you to all those involved in organising these events.”
The money matters session are being held between 1pm and 4pm with A Night Before Christmas from 4pm to 5pm on the following dates:
Tuesday 6 December – Bettws Community Centre, Bettws Centre, NP20 7TN.
Wednesday 7 December – Ringland Community Centre, Ringland Circle, NP19 9PS
