Ponthir Road to close for urgent repairs

Ponthir Road will be closed between 8pm and midnight for five nights from Monday 28 February, between Malthouse Lane and Barnfield.
This is to allow the council to carry out urgent repairs which are needed to the road outside Star Villas and the Star Trading Estate before the condition of the road worsens.
Access to Afon Gardens for residents will be available from the Ponthir side of the road. Access to other residences and the trading estate will be unavailable during the closures, except in the case of emergencies.
Pedestrian access will be available throughout. For vehicles, a diversion route via the A4042 will be in place.
The council thanks residents for their patience and understanding while these works are taking place.
