Children invited to join Wild World Heroes at Newport libraries this summer

Posted on Friday 9th July 2021

Newport libraries are calling for children to sign up to the Summer Reading Challenge 2021.

The theme for this year is Wild World Heroes and the challenge asks children aged 4 to 11 to borrow and read any six library books over the summer.

Children can become a Wild World Hero and discover how they can make a difference to the place in which they live.  Each time they read a library book for the challenge, they’ll get one step closer to fixing the environmental problems in Wilderville and will help make it a better, greener place to live!

To take part children can sign up at their nearest library, where they will be given a collector’s folder to keep a record of their summer reading challenge journey.

Wild World Heroes launches in libraries across Newport on 10 July will run until 25 September.
