Direct payments vacancies
Rate of pay is £10.87 per hour for 14 hours per week (Minimum of 1 hour in the morning and evening for 6 days a week).
A family is looking for a personal care assistant to support their adult son, to help meet his personal care needs. Experience would be good but is not essential.
The son has Angelman syndrome which is a genetic condition that affects the nervous system, causes severe physical and learning disabilities.
Due to assistance with personal care, family require the applicant to be male. This is an exception under the Equality Act 2010.
Successful candidates will be DBS checked. This will be undertaken and paid for by the Local Authority.

Bassaleg - Female Personal Assistant - KK
Female Personal Assistants required to support a disabled woman in her early seventies to maintain her independence.
Duties will be carried out at her home and will include help with washing, bathing and dressing, as well as preparing meals and doing some domestic tasks including changing the bed and washing the bedding.
Some assistance to go into the community may be required.
Hours to be worked over 3 or 4 days between 11.00 A.M and 3.00 P.M. Hours could be flexible and will be agreed at interview.
Rate of Pay £9.79 per hour.
10 ½ hours per week or 42 hours over 4 weeks if preferred.
Experience would be good but is not essential.
Employer would like you to be a driver for community access, but you could be employed purely for care needs if you are not.
