Newport Citizens Advice Bureau: help in applying for benefits and income advice. Telephone (01633) 222622 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. 

Disability Advice Project: provides an extensive Disability Advice Service which includes welfare benefits advice for disabled people, their families and carers.

Statutory Sick Pay: if you are employed and are ill or self-isolating you may be eligible to claim Statutory Sick Pay. 

Breathing Space: a new government-backed scheme designed to give people in debt time and space to seek help from qualified debt advisors, came into effect on 4 May 2021.
