The Dog Control Orders (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Wales) Regulations 2007

Notice is hereby given that on 13 December 2013 Newport City Council made the following Dog Control Order ('the Order') under Section 55(1) of the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005 ('the Act') which applies to the Land ('the Land') described in the schedule below, being land to which the Act applies.

The Order came into effect on 31 December 2013.

1. The effect of the Order is to make it an offence to fail to remove dog faeces deposited by a dog under your control.

2. Failure to comply with the requirements of the Order will constitute an offence.

Schedule

This Order will apply to all land within the administrative area of Newport City Council (shown edged black on Map 1 attached to the order) which is open to the air (including land which is covered but open to the air on at least one side) and to which the public are entitled or permitted to have access with or without payment.

Some of the land affected is access land under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 and this land is identified as the land edged red and green on the attached maps numbered 2 to 17.
