To launch this year's festival The Forests of the World, Maindee Festival Association presents Taking Root, an award winning dramatic documentary film based on the life and work of Kenyan Nobel Peace Prize laureate Wangari Matthi, whose simple act of planting trees grew into a nationwide movement to safeguard the environment, protect human rights and defend democracy.
Winner of ten film festival awards in 2008.
This film does not qualify for the Special Offer. All profits go to the Green Belt Movement.
