Mike Leigh is to speak at the Ffresh Festival Fringe on route to the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival where he will preside as the Jury President.
Throughout his long and distinguished career Mike Leigh has created numerous original, distinctive, and thought provoking films which have firmly established him as a major filmmaker.
Famed for his improvisational method of developing scripts, he is also highly regarded, and loved by audiences around the world, for his compassion, humour, and ability to create characters who are grating, loveable, hysterical, and endearing, and who all contain traits we see in ourselves or others. His work is as close to life as cinema can get whilst also being entertaining, daring, and unique.
