Newport Food Festival

Applications for a stall at this year’s food festival are now closed

Newport Food Festival - one of the biggest events of the year - will return to the city on Saturday 3 October 2020.

2019 saw thousands of people visiting the stalls in the city centre which were sited along the High Street, Bridge Street and Westgate Square.

This free event, hosted by Newport City Council with support from Newport Now, The Celtic Manor, Friars Walk, Pobl Group and Horton's Coffee House, included cookery demonstrations which took place in the Festival Kitchens in Newport Market and in the reception area of the Pobl Group offices at the top of High Street.

There was also plenty of street entertainment for all the family.

New for 2019 Horton's Coffee House, located on Millennium Walk just over Newport footbridge, hosted a number of coffee talks and coffee art demonstrations and Friars Walk complemented the event with their own veggie vegan village and chef demonstrations from top local and national chefs, including the Dirty Sanchez TV chef Matthew Pritchard.

The sun shone for us this year and we hope that 2020 – which will be our 10th birthday - will be just as kind to us!

We are busy behind the scenes to make our 10th year a celebration of the food and drink Newport has to offer.
