How to Find Us

The Newport Food and Drink Festival takes place in and around the city centre - Newport Market and the High Street can be easily reached by bus and train.

Travelling by car?

Newport has excellent road links with easy access to city centre car parks:

  • from Bristol on the M4 westbound – take M4 exit 25A before the Brynglas tunnels on to A4042 and follow signs for city centre.
  • from Cardiff on the M4 eastbound – take M4 exit 26 before the Brynglas tunnels on to A4051 and follow signs for city centre.

If you're using sat nav use the postcode for Newport Market - NP20 1DD - but remember there is no parking at Newport Market. 

There are a number of car parks near to Newport Market and the city centre.

To allow for the safe set up of the Food Festival stalls and for traders to access the site to offload their produce in a safe manner.

Catching the bus?

The main festival locations of High Street and Newport Market are just 500 yards from the bus station at Friars Walk, and part of Newport’s bus station is located in the front of the market’s main entrance on Upper Dock Street.

There are regular long distance services to Newport (contact your National Express travel agent) connecting with the National Welsh and Red and White services.

Arriving by train?

Newport is served by fast and frequent train services on the Newport to Manchester line and from Bristol, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Gloucester and the south west of England.
