Ben Periam Chef Ben Periam is one of the most humble and respectable chefs within the south wales area. Ben started as a pot wash and kitchen porter at junction 28 restaurant which focused on a Modern British menu. Ben has also worked at various other gastro pubs and hotel groups including Hilton International and as Executive Head Chef at The Three Salmons Hotel in Usk. Using high quality, fresh ingredients is important to Ben, so important that he and his team use local foragers and the menu features Usk Valley beef and lamb, locally sourced free range eggs and fresh fish direct. Ben is now part of the team at The Pod in Clarence Place.
