Book Express

Newport Libraries Book Express service enables you to select up to 50 books a year from Newport Libraries stock.

The selected items are posted to your home address with a return postage-paid envelope so that you can return the items when you have finished reading.

Book Express users may also download free eBooks, eMagazines and eAudiobooks from the Newport Libraries online catalogue.

Book Express is ideal for busy working people or for students who cannot get to their local library during business hours.

Book Express terms and conditions 

Book Express users must:

  • no longer borrow items from any branch library in Newport
  • be over 16 years of age
  • pay council tax to Newport City Council

Book Express users must agree to:

  • borrow up to 50 books a year from Newport Libraries stock, excluding special offers, heavily requested items, multimedia, young adult and junior stock and heavy oversized non-fiction titles
  • return the books using the pre-paid postage envelope provided - Book Express items cannot be returned in person to any Newport library and may only be renewed once
  • pay any overdue fines at the current rate
