Digital Fridays 

Free Friday drop-in sessions

Free, informal Friday drop-in sessions where you can bring in a digital device that you may need help with, including laptop, iPad, tablet or smartphone. 

Whether you want to look for a job, talk to your family abroad or shop and pay bills online, we'll show you how with one-to-one support.  

Ringland library 2pm - 4pm - every Friday 

Central library 2pm - 4pm - every Friday 

Rogerstone library 9.15am-11.15am - monthly on Friday 29 September, 20 October, 24 November 2017 

Digital Fridays in Newport Libraries are run in partnership with the Office of National Statistics - there is no charge. 


Job search 

Tuesday to Friday, 9am - 1pm at Central library

Drop-in sessions for job seekers - use PCs to search for jobs and get help in writing CVs and completing online job application forms from library staff and volunteers.


Internet taster sessions

Ideal for people who want to get started on using the internet for the first time, the sessions cover searching, email and safe browsing.

Sessions take place over three weeks and need to be booked in advance.


eBook surgeries

If you're having trouble with our eBook services you can book a one-to-one session with a member of staff who will guide you through getting started on your own device and getting the best from the services.

Code club

A great way to get kids involved in computing from an early age.

They will learn to create images, animations and even simple computer games using Scratch.

These sessions run for 12 weeks and need to be booked in advance.
