Keep a love of reading going through the school holidays by signing up for the Summer Reading Challenge...

Come along to free story and craft sessions for children aged 4 to 10 years, including Kids Take Over, Design a Coding Machine, Animal Disguises, Microbit Mayhem and Agent ID.

Newport Museum and Heritage

Every Wednesday, three family craft sessions will be held in Newport Museum's Art Gallery (third floor) between 11am - 12pm; 12pm - 1pm and 1pm - 2pm.

There are 15 places at each of the sessions.  

  • 16 August - make a woodland animal mask 
  • 23 August - make an ancient Egyptian Eye of Horus 
  • 30 August - make a paper Newport Ship 

No booking, drop-in sessions only - places are allocated on a 'first come first served' basis on the day.   

Suitable for ages 5 to 11 years, children must be accompanied by an adult.
