People reaching their 100th birthday can receive a card of congratulations and in some cases, a visit from the Mayor, providing their family contacts the Mayor’s Office in advance on (01633) 232035 or emailing [email protected]

How to receive a telegram from the Queen

If you, or a member of your family are approaching a very significant date in your life, then you may be able to arrange a telegram from the HM Queen.

100th and 105th birthdays and 60th wedding anniversary telegrams can be arranged by writing to the following address, no sooner than three weeks before the date on which it is required.

If the marriage took place abroad, up to six weeks should be allowed. You should enclose as proof a birth or marriage certificate as appropriate.

Contact the Chief Clerk, PSO Buckingham Palace SW1 or download a form from the Monarchy Today website.

Telegrams can be arranged through the General Register Office on 0300 123 1837.

Birthday cards

It is possible to obtain a birthday card from HM The Queen by enclosing a copy of the birth certificate, and writing to:

Commemorative marriage certificates

Commemorative marriage certificates for Silver (25 years), Ruby (40 years) Gold (50 years) and Diamond (60 years) anniversaries can also be obtained from the General Register Office on 0300 123 1837. Please allow at least 14 working days before delivery is required.
