Park and ride

Shoppers who want to visit Newport city centre, to visit our great independent retailers or to check out the new Friars Walk development and surrounding shops and restaurants, can take advantage of a free Park and Ride service operated by Newport Bus.
This is the third year running this popular seasonal service has been in operation.
To park for free, drivers must use the top car park at the Civic Centre on Fields Road, which is open from 9am to 5.50pm every Saturday from now until Saturday 2 January 2016.
Walkers, and users of the lower Faulkner Road pay-and-display in front of the Crown Court, can also pick up the bus service which will operate every 10 minutes.
The Park and Ride service will drop users off on Queensway and Bridge Street, perfect to access the full range of old and new offerings in the city centre.
