Communities invited to discover funding sources to benefit rural enterprises

Posted on Wednesday 16th March 2016

A partnership between Newport and Monmouthshire councils to promote rural communities and businesses and increase prosperity has taken to the road in March to explain what funding is available for the area's community groups.

The Vale of Usk Rural Development Programme (RDP) administers funding under the Wales RDP which covers business development, exploiting digital technology, developing renewable energy schemes for communities, using natural and cultural assets for sustainable, economic growth in areas like tourism and delivering local services within rural communities.

In Newport, it covers the wards of Marshfield, Llanwern, Langstone, Caerleon and Graig.

Residents and businesses in those areas can attend a meeting in Redwick Village Hall, near Magor, NP26 3DE  at 6pm on Wednesday 23 March

To book a place contact [email protected] or arrive on the evening.
