Children's design competition

We are appealing to budding young artists in Newport to design a new look for children's library cards.
Youngsters aged between four and 12 can submit their designs, which should show their love for libraries and reading, to their local library by 18 April.
The winner will receive an art pack and an author visit for their school but could also see their work appear on children's library cards.
Councillor Debbie Harvey, Newport City Council's cabinet member for culture and leisure, said: "This is a great opportunity for children to turn their love of words into images. I think we will get many amazing entries and I'm looking forward to seeing them all. Good luck to all those who take part in this competition."
