PPE appeal

Newport City Council is appealing to local firms and organisations for unwanted personal protective equipment (PPE) to help protect the city’s front line workers.
Many council staff including carers, social workers and refuse collectors continue to deliver essential services that help keep the city running and residents safe at this critical time.
Although Welsh Government is providing equipment and has issued clear guidance for its use, the much-reported worldwide shortage of PPE means additional supplies including masks, nitrile blue gloves and plastic aprons would greatly support our work in the community.
