Municipal cemeteries

We continually review and monitor decisions that have been taken about the closure of facilities and services in Newport.
Officers in the council will consider the situation in relation to council-run cemeteries in line with the latest guidance and following risk assessments.
We appreciate this is a sensitive issue for many people and we do sympathise. However, decisions are always taken in the best interests of the public and our staff.
