Newport's 50+ Information Day returns next month

A wealth of information and advice will be offer at the city's popular 50+ event in Newport Centre on Saturday 19 October.
Entry is free to the annual event, organised by Newport City Council's community connectors team.
More than 100 stalls will be in the centre between 10am and 3pm providing advice including financial and legal services; leisure activities; health; learning and volunteering; hobbies; housing and adaptations.
Refreshments will be available and the Newport 50+ forum is holding a raffle.
Councillor Paul Cockeram, the council's cabinet member for social services, said: "I would like to thank all those who are attending the event to offer expert and professional support in a wide range of areas.
"Information days have been held for a number of years, specially tailored to residents aged 50 and above, and they are always appreciated by visitors."
