Deadline for prospective parliamentary candidates

Candidates wishing to stand for the Newport East or Newport West seats in the general election on 12 December have to deliver their nomination papers before 4pm on Thursday this week (14 November).
They can be handed in to the elections office in the Civic Centre between 10am and 4pm on any working day. An appointment is not essential but is advisable to avoid any unnecessary delay.
