New courses from September 2018

The 2018 Adult Community Learning prospectus is now available. Courses include: GCSE English and Maths; Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Skills; British Sign Language; Computing; Teaching Assistant and Dressmaking.

They are offered for those aged 16 or over to help gain qualifications, employment opportunities, or to reach personal goals. 

Councillor Gail Giles, Newport City Council's cabinet member for education and skills, has welcomed the new prospectus which provides courses that can assist in gaining new skills and qualifications. 

 "There are a wide variety of subjects, including a new course for British Sign Language, which is available to everyone whether to improve employment opportunities or for personal interest and development."

The courses will be held at the following venues:

St Julian's Community Learning & Library Centre, Beaufort Road, NP19 7UB

Learning Suite, Central Library, John Frost Square, NP20 1PA
