Carers Rights Day event

Newport carers are invited to a free event being held in the Riverside Suite of Newport Centre between 10am and 2pm on 22 November.
Organised by Newport City Council in conjunction with local groups and organisations, there will be more than 20 information stands.
These will help carers understand their rights as well as how to find how to get help and support.
Free massage and pampering sessions will also be on offer.
A carer is anyone who provides unpaid care for a family member or friend who, due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction, cannot cope without that assistance.
