You must be on the electoral register to vote in May

Newport residents will be going to the polls on Thursday 4 May to vote for their representatives on the city council.
However, only those registered to vote will be able to have their say and individuals have to sign up by 13 April.
There are several ways to apply for registration: online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote telephone 01633 210744 (with date of birth and National Insurance number) or fill in a paper registration form.
The form can also be requested from Newport City Council's electoral services team, telephone 01633 656656 or email [email protected]..
