Personal assistant, Liswerry

A personal assistant is required to support a young woman in her twenties to access the community, including taking her to shops or cinema.

She is a wheelchair use and will need you to drive her to all activities.

You will be required to empty a catheter when required.

The employer will arrange and pay for a DBS enhanced check and the successful employee must be a driver although the employer has her own car.

Hours of work are 20 hours per week for 18 weeks a year, based around college holidays.

These hours will be paid at a rate of £8.10 per hour.

Some flexibility in availability would be preferred but usual hours are likely to be between 9am and 4pm Tuesday to Friday.

Personal assistant, Bettws (holiday/sick leave cover)

A personal assistant is required to support a disabled woman for 9 ½ hours per week during periods of annual/sick leave for a minimum of five or six weeks each year. 

The duties will include a morning call, showering, assisting with personal care, preparation of breakfast and a 30 minute teatime call for six days between 6pm – 6.30pm preparing a light meal and a hot drink. 

Experience of the care profession is preferred but not essential. The employer will arrange and pay for a DBS (CRB) enhanced check.

Personal assistant, Moorland Park

A personal assistant is required to support a mother with her three children aged from 5 to 9 years old to access the community, including taking them to the park, swimming and soft play and other activities.

The family have three children on the autistic spectrum who require high levels of support and careful supervision.

You would not be working on your own and would always be supported by the children’s mother. 

Applicants must have experience or understanding of working with children with disabilities and be able to deal with behaviours associated with children with limited communication.

The employer will arrange and pay for a DBS enhanced check and the successful employee must have their own car and business insurance.

You will be required to work for four hours per week at a rate of £8.10 per hour.

Some flexibility in availability would be preferred but usual hours are likely to be Thursday 4pm to 6pm and Saturday 6pm to 8pm.

Personal assistant, Broadmead Park

A personal assistant is required to support a male wheelchair user with severe disabilities for 12 hours per week at an hourly rate of £8.10. 

The role will include taking the individual out into the community, assisting him with any feeding and providing activities that will keep him stimulated.

He enjoys outings, parks, shopping and other outdoor activities. 

The working week will include Tuesdays for 6 hours and Thursdays for 6 hours between 9am and 5pm (hours negotiable).

A full driving licence is necessary as you will be required to drive his mobility car.

Personal assistant, Baneswell

A personal assistant is required for 10 hours a week to support a 25 year old male, with days and hours to be agreed following a successful interview.  

Duties will include supporting with daily tasks such as shopping, cooking, housework and general life skills.

Experience of the benefits system and working with people with autism is essential.

The rate of pay is £8.10 per hour and the employer will arrange and pay for a DBS (CRB) enhanced check.

A personal assistant is required to support a 13 year old disabled boy to access the community, including taking him to leisure facilities and assisting with play.
