Welsh Church Funds
The Welsh Church Act 1914 secured the disestablishment of the Anglican Church in Wales and made provision for the funding of church projects.
The Welsh Church fund is no longer used only for church projects.
Newport City Council receives an annual allocation which can be awarded for educational, social, recreational and cultural purposes.
Applications can be made by churches and chapels, organisations and individuals.
Read the Guidance Note (pdf) which explains eligibility.
Download the Welsh Church fund application form (pdf).
Applications to the Welsh Church Fund are considered each October.
