The telecare service enables people to call for help if they fall, are taken ill or experience an emergency at home.

Calls are routed to a monitoring centre that is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

You simply need an electrical power point so that an alarm unit can be fitted.

If the trigger is activated a message is sent to trained operators who will contact someone on your behalf.

Telecare is a chargeable service, currently £4.50 per week.
