Parklands

Parklands Residential Home is operated by Newport City Council to provide residential care services for up to 26 adults.

Parklands is situated in the Malpas area, close to local shops and chemist with a regular bus service to Newport city centre.

There are 26 bedrooms, 13 of which are used for long-term residential care and 13 for short term intermediate care.

Intermediate care provides short-term accommodation for men and women who can benefit from a period of re-enablement, usually but not always after time spent in hospital.

The unit aims to enable people to return home by helping them to regain confidence with daily living skills, assessing for Telecare and reducing dependency on long-term services.

The home has well-kept gardens including patio areas with a greenhouse and a potting shed for keen gardeners and plenty of seating to relax and enjoy views of Twmbarlwm and surrounding areas.

Parklands has two floors and the upstairs can be accessed by stairs or lift.
